About us:
As a medium-sized company with around 50 employees, we have been planning and implementing modern communication systems for public transport for over 25 years. These include passenger information systems, passenger counting systems, and onboard computer systems. Complete product development – from design and hardware/software to manufacturing – takes place in-house.
MG devices are in use in thousands of vehicles worldwide. Meticulous and results-driven.
Your responsibilities:
- Development of modern visualizations using Qt/QML, with a strong focus on design and layout
- Implementation of application logic in C++/QML
- Close collaboration with embedded and backend developers
- Direct interaction with customers to understand requirements, design ideas, and functional goals
- Advising customers on UI/UX best practices, readability, usability, and technical feasibility
- Participation in architecture design and technical decision-making
Your profile:
- Solid experience with Qt/QML and C++
- Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Media Informatics, Multimedia, Human-Computer Interaction, or a comparable field
- Alternatively: completed vocational training in the IT field (e.g. application development specialist) with relevant, verifiable professional experience
- Enjoyment in not only programming interfaces but also designing them
- A keen eye for detail: pixels, spacing, animations
- Experience integrating external interfaces (VDV301, ITxPT, REST/JSON, SOAP, XML, etc.) using C++/Qt and efficient data processing
- Ideally, prior exposure to public transport
- Creative, service-oriented, and highly reliable way of working
- Good German and English skills; French is a plus
