The B2host‑2 is a fle­xi­ble and powerful on-board com­pu­ter for buses and trains, which con­trols the enti­re vehic­le peri­phery as well as loca­ting and com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on in the vehic­le and thus meets all AVM requi­re­ments. It also ser­ves as a data coll­ec­tor for coun­ting data and vide­os.
Its modu­lar / sca­lable design enables indi­vi­du­al adapt­a­ti­on to the respec­ti­ve requi­re­ments.
T‑Systems as an inter­na­tio­nal­ly ope­ra­ting ser­vice pro­vi­der for infor­ma­ti­on and com­mu­ni­ca­ti­on tech­no­lo­gy reli­es on hard­ware from MG. The B2host‑2 ser­ves as a plat­form for T‑Systems’ soft­ware.
1100 on-board com­pu­ters of the new gene­ra­ti­on have been orde­red. The first 300 B2host‑2 on-board com­pu­ters were deli­ver­ed at the begin­ning of the year.
They will be used in pro­jects of Bochum-Gel­sen­kir­che­ner Stra­ßen­bah­nen AG (BOGESTRA), Stra­ßen­bahn Her­ne-Cas­trop-Rau­xel (HCR) and Dort­mund Stadt­wer­ke (DSW21).
The­re, they are gra­du­al­ly repla­cing the exis­ting on-board com­pu­ters and thus enab­ling the modi­fi­ca­ti­on and expan­si­on of indi­vi­du­al func­tions or brin­ging the sys­tem up to the latest sta­te of the art.
The par­ti­cu­lar chall­enge is that the new on-board com­pu­ters used in the buses and trains must be ful­ly com­pa­ti­ble with the exis­ting ITCS com­pon­ents and systems.
